Anekdoten - Live EP (1997)

"This CD EP contains some very nice live material, for example the version of "Karelia" is here extraordinary, much better than on the “Vemod” album. There’s very powerful mellotron arrangements in the end sequence, which truly makes the listeners hairs to rise from excitement! "A Way of Life" sounds as an improvisation, and I believe there's some kind of frippertonics-thing going on. Two other tracks are good also. Not probably the best record as first introduction to the band, but warmly recommended for those who like ANEKDOTEN." - Eetu Pellonpää-ProgArchives

Anekdoten - Vemod (1993)

"Anekdoten’s Vemod is probably the most impressive (and heaviest) debut album from the last two decades along with Anglagard’s Hybris, and they have little chance at being dethroned, Paatos’ Timeloss included. This quartet seems to have come out of Sweden’s Boreal Forest or even more north the Polar Tundra, with their incredibly somber but beautiful melancholy that one our Scandinavian brothers can express so forcefully.." - Sean Trane-ProgArchives

Anekdoten - Nucleus (1995)

"Excellent HEAVY/HARD PROG band from SWEDEN whose music is strongly influenced by King Crimson, with outstanding mellotron and cello passages. Dark moods are present all the time in their music where the distorted bass and raw drums are another trademark. Their live performances are outrageous, and those who saw them live at Progfest '94 know what I'm talking about..."
